The Royal Academy of Overseas Sciences of Belgium has set up a fund for the award of the Yola Verhasselt Prize for Tropical Geography. The winner will be granted a travel credit for financing a field work in tropical geography.
The prize amounts to €2,500.
This prize is awarded triennially. The prize will be awarded for the first time in 2007. Applications must be submitted before February 1 of the year in which the prize is awarded.
